The sheriff's Administrative Division identifies record keeping and Open Records Request work among its duties. The official site does not publish regular records-office hours, a separate records telephone number, a booking-photo fee, or a dedicated request form. Call the office before visiting or sending a request. For a current custody question, use the jail inquiry number and the sheriff's incarcerated-detainees instructions.
Send a Useful Records Request
Identify the person, approximate arrest or booking date, booking number if known, and arresting agency. Ask separately for the booking or arrest record and the booking photograph, request electronic copies, and ask for an itemized estimate before costs exceed a stated limit. Missouri's sample Sunshine request language provides a practical model.
The statewide Sunshine Law FAQ explains that the public body should respond as soon as possible and no later than the end of the third business day, or explain why production will take longer. That is a response deadline, not a guarantee that a complete file will arrive within three days. The sheriff has not published a local turnaround promise.

The office that created or maintains the particular record is the best contact. Use these paths rather than sending personal details to this private site:
- County booking sheet or photograph: the Sheriff's Administrative Division.
- New booking or release check: 573-564-8086 or the official sheriff app's Weekly Booking Report.
- City arrest report: the arresting police department. Montgomery City Police lists 723 N. Sturgeon and 573-564-2511; Jonesburg Police lists 636-488-5200 for business and 573-564-3378 to summon an officer. For Wellsville, call 573-684-2323 and verify the current address because available sources conflict.
- Filed charge and final disposition: Missouri Case.net or the Montgomery County circuit clerk.
- Prison, probation, or parole status: the Missouri Department of Corrections offender search.
- Federal or immigration custody: the Bureau of Prisons locator or ICE detainee locator, not the county jail.
